How does Russian propaganda work – in Russia and in Germany?

We warmly invite you to the panel discussion

“The Mechanisms of Russian Propaganda: Genocide Rhetoric Inside Russia and Soft Power Operations in Germany.”

The event will open with a welcome address by a representative of the Pilecki Institute Berlin, followed by presentations of two research projects conducted by the Crimean Human Rights Group and the Ukrainian Institute.

Together, these projects reveal two faces of Russian influence — overt propaganda and covert cultural diplomacy — and underscore the urgent need for action from both the judiciary and civil society.

Following the presentations, a panel discussion with experts and a Q&A session will take place.

Speakers:
Yuliia Krylova-Grek, Iryna Baran El Ghali, Marlia Protsiuk, Mattia Nelles
Moderator: Dr. Kateryna Rietz-Rakul, Director of the Ukrainian Institute in Germany
