Results of the Call for Applications for the „Provenance Research“ Scholarship Programme for Research Projects at the Berlin Branch of the Pilecki Institute
On 7 July 2026, the Scholarship Committee met to select the scholarship recipients who had applied for funding within the framework of the call for applications announced on 12 May 2026. The competition offered research scholarships in the amount of EUR 1,800, awarded for a period of 12 months.
We would like to thank all interested applicants for their participation in the competition and for submitting their applications. The Selection Committee evaluated the applications received by 15 June 2026. Prior to the meeting, the committee members reviewed the documentation submitted by email and conducted an initial assessment of the proposed projects. This was followed by a detailed discussion of the submitted projects, during which their strengths and weaknesses were analysed.
Following the formal and substantive evaluation of the submitted projects, as well as a discussion of their academic value, the committee selected the winners of the competition.
The scholarships were awarded to the following individuals:
- Marta Kapełuś
„Collecting the Remnants: Jewish Institutions and Displaced Cultural Property in Postwar Poland, 1945–1953“
- Dr Amalia Korzeniewska
„An Attempt to Reconstruct the Fate of Works of Art from the Collections of Princess Mechtilde and Olgierd Czartoryski of Greater Poland“
We would like to thank all participants for their applications and extend our warmest congratulations to the scholarship recipients!
