2.) Stalin’s Exhibition - Instytut Pileckiego
2.) Stalin’s Exhibition
The Soviet regime transformed the resting place of fallen soldiers into a site for its propaganda. Instead of honoring those who sacrificed their lives for a world liberated from National Socialism, the Soviet totalitarian system repurposed it as an imperialist space. The memorial area displays 16 quotes by Stalin in both German and Russian. Additionally, the years of World War II (1941-1945) are showcased intentionally, concealing the regime's collaboration and the secret Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, which divided the Soviet and German 'spheres of influence' in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland.
