A curatorial tour of the Stus exhibition will take place at 18:15 before the event.

This event has been organized in collaboration with Kolegium Europy Wschodniej and accompanies our Stus exhibition.

Event Description

This discussion brings together experts and cultural figures to examine the interconnected histories of the Ukrainian dissident movement—represented by poet and activist Vasyl Stus—and the Polish human rights movement of the late 20th century. The conversation will explore their shared struggles against authoritarian regimes, the mutual influences that shaped these movements, and the enduring legacy of solidarity between Ukrainian and Polish activists.

The panel will highlight the transformative power of collective action, resistance, and cross-border support, encouraging participants to reflect on how these historical connections resonate with today's fight for human rights and democracy in Europe.
